Introduction

ToolYour developer documentation for managed MCP actions, reusable playbooks, REST, and the official TypeScript SDK.

Welcome to the ToolYour developer documentation. ToolYour is a managed MCP action platform: AI assistants use curated actions and outcome-based playbooks through one remote MCP connection, while applications can call supported actions through REST or the official TypeScript SDK.

Account signup, billing, and key management live in the ToolYour dashboard.

Choose an access surface

SurfaceDocsWhen to use
TypeScript SDKSDK guide · Tool mapNode/TS apps — typed ty.seo.metaTagsAnalyzer({ url }) instead of raw URLs
REST APIQuickstart · Calling tools · OpenAPI sidebarAny language, curl, fetch, OpenAPI playground
MCPMCP quickstartChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Codex, and compatible clients at https://api.toolyour.com/mcp

One API key (ty_…) · one monthly quota for REST, SDK, and MCP billable calls.

What the action platform includes

  • Actions — focused, API-backed capabilities with structured inputs and results
  • Playbooks — named routines that combine actions, evidence, acceptance criteria, and stopping rules
  • Verification — supported workflows can compare fresh evidence with a prior result
  • Access surfaces — MCP for AI assistants, REST/SDK for applications, and browser tools for people

Customer API submission and customer connector execution are not publicly available. Do not send credentials in prompts or support messages.

Built-in action areas

  • Document and file conversion (PDF, DOCX, images, Office, eBooks, archives)
  • Text utilities (case conversion, slugify, compare, stats, …)
  • SEO analysis and data APIs
  • Security checks (headers, TLS, cookies, JWT, secrets, …)
  • Calculators, unit conversions, YouTube tools, and AI-powered API tools

Browser-only tools (no hasApi) are on toolyour.com — not exposed via SDK/REST/MCP.

Authentication

Every tool request requires your API key:

X-Api-Key: ty_YOUR_KEY_HERE

Create keys at Dashboard → API Keys. See Account & API Keys.

Find the right tool and syntax

  1. SDK Tool Map — full table: path slug → REST → ty.namespace.method(input) (best for LLMs and codegen)
  2. Tool guides — category overviews with curl + SDK examples
  3. OpenAPI sidebar — request/response schemas per endpoint

Quota

Monthly limits apply per account (shared across all API keys). REST, SDK, and MCP billable calls share the pool. See Usage & Plans.
